We may not be Four Non Blondes but we still like to know what's up! So we're catching up with Cedar City favs Black Cat Parade, Alley Hound, Grace Parke and the Spectre, Lillian VanDaam and Jimmy Carter's Peanut Farm to see what they've been working on, and let me tell you, there's lots to look forward to.

Jimmy Carter's Peanut Farm
Jimmy Carter's Peanut Farm has piqued the interest of the music community here in Cedar City after their win of the Audience Choice Award at Thunder 91's 2023 Battle of the Bands: Thunderground at Southern Utah University. The band's eclectic taste and style set them apart as a group to watch.
According to Daniil Kiselev, the band's bassist, the group has been working on recording some of their songs recently with the goal of releasing them to major streaming platforms in the near future. This will be a major step for the Peanut Farm as it will be their first released music as a group.
Along with streamable music, the group also hopes to start doing more live sessions over TikTok more frequently. Both of which give their fans more chances to hear their talents. And you didn't hear it from us, but we think there might be a Jimmy Carter's Peanut Farm concert coming your way soon. ;)

Alley Hound
If you've been thinking that Alley Hound's been a bit quiet lately, you'd be right. The 90's-inspired rock band is currently taking a bit of a hiatus as their guitarist is across the country for a few months. But don't get it twisted, they fully plan on coming back in full force and are still working on projects in the meantime.
One of these projects being a new song that is almost ready for release, so keep your eyes out.

Pop-rock band Grace Parke and the Spectre have been lying dormant for a bit as they work on new material, but rest assured, the wait will be worth it.
Lead singer, Grace Parke, says that there are two more singles on the way that are almost ready for release. These songs will finish out the saga started with her first three singles. The band is also working on music videos for the remaining singles as well as other promotional content.
The Spectre also has some shows planned for the next few months, including one at Sok Hop, so make sure you don't miss them!
You can listen to Grace Parke and the Spectre here.

With her jazzy vocals and talent for visual songwriting, Lillian VanDaam has been a prominent facet of the Cedar City music scene for years now, but soon she'll be taking on the big apple. have no fear though, Lillian has plenty up her sleeve until then.
VanDaam says that she plans on releasing three albums this year, two of which are story concept albums. She's also producing three music videos, one of which is in the works already and has been taking every opportunity to perform around town.
Make sure to take advantage of the chance to see her perform while you can, because the next time might just be in an arena.
You can listen to Lillian's music here.

Indie rock band Black Cat Parade is booked out at the moment, playing plenty of shows around Cedar City and the surrounding areas. Along with playing shows and rehearsing they've also been working on other projects for the band.
According to the group, they're working on releasing their second song and recording more for an EP that they have planned.
The boys have also been focusing on making social media content to promote their band and their music, and they might even produce a music video for their song "Scared of You" soon too.
You can listen to Black Cat Parade's music here.
As you can see, there is plenty going on in the Cedar City music scene and plenty to look forward to. We can't wait for all of the new music and shows coming our way soon and we hope you feel the same. :)
With Love,
Sok Hop
