March was full of jams and surprises here at Sok Hop, read on to hear about all of the bands that came to bring the heat this month!

Cedar Sh*tty

On the first and last stop of their world tour, Cedar Sh*tty cranked out a vibrant set of covers that had us all singing along.
With two of our Sok Hop team members, Mak Duncan and Ben Sagers, at the helm, the band knew exactly what to play to get the crowd going. From Noah Kahn to Smash Mouth they kept the excitement coming song after song.
They may have started their project on a whim but they certainly won't be forgotten soon. If someone wants to petition them to come back and perform again next semester... we wouldn't complain.
Mopsy

3-piece from Northern Utah, Mopsy, rocked the house earlier this month, playing a barrage of hearty originals.
The indie-rock group captivated the crowd in a rush of electric rock with a hint of pop hooks. Their take on Utah's Indie-Rock was refreshing and warm, a welcome addition to Sok Hop's lineup.
Joey Jupiter

Joey Jupiter made a triumphant return to the Johnson Center this month, bringing a full band ensemble complete with bass, guitar, and drums.
Joey Jupiter played a balanced mix of originals like "Audience Member" and recent release "On My Way" as well as covers from the Cranberries and Boygenius. The full band showed off tremendous growth in their stage presence, a true example of artist development.
The soft rock songs of the band carried a spectrum of emotion to share between the musicians and the audience.
Tyrely

Newcomer, Tyrely, didn't come to mess around. With a sound reminiscent of Deftones or Basement, the band's infectious hard rock sound had the crowd enraptured.
Playing songs off of his recently released EP, 'Gouge Away," that matches dark sounds with horror and thriller pop culture references, the St. George band gave a memorable introduction to Cedar City.
CAYSN

CAYSN pulled off our first outdoor concert of the year. Sharing an eclectic mix of pop vibrance with some rock grit, the band kept the audience warm even as the air started to chill.
The whole set was filled to the brim with movement, the bandmates spun and jumped across the stage, all the while gaining a new fan-foothold in Cedar City.
Village Monster

Village Monster came back for a second round at Sok Hop, and those who hadn't seen them the first time were in for a surprise.
A family band hailing from Enterprise, Utah, the group specializes in doing metal covers of pop songs. From Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift to Tenacious D, they had a pit of eager dancers in the crowd.
The last month of the semester is soon to be upon us, and with that comes some more spectacular shows that you won't want to miss! See you soon!
With love,
The Sok Hop Team
